Our Mission

We believed in ReFi and Web3 before they existed. We were early DAO-pioneers who designed, lead, and advised many key initiatives. Our ambition is now to use our years of expertise to help new and exceptional regenerative projects incubate and grow. Our role is to advise and guide the next generation of projects to navigate a rapidly evolving technical, operational, and academic landscape.

Who We Are

Louise Borreani is a ReFi specialist, technical writer and researcher who has published pioneer ReFi articles and extensive research on the tokenomics of ecosystem protection and restoration. She has done detailed research on nature-based asset markets, (d)MRV, and ReFi industry mapping, working as Ecofrontiers research lead, and previsouly as core-researcher and technical writer for the Kolektivo Framework

Louise holds a Master’s in Environmental Policy, and wrote her thesis on Blockchain for Environmental Governance. She moonlights as a developer apprentice, and Positive Blockchain contributor.

Warm introduction to a potential project backer of relevant background. | | Tokenomics Design | As Web3 experts and cryptoeconomists by trade, we support the development of (typically ReFi) project tokenomics by mapping weaknesses and strengths, offering comparatives to existing industry models, and suggesting modifications or relevant research directions. | Document review and submission of recommendations for iterative design of a ReFi project’s tokenomics. | | Research | We conduct quality research on various topics ranging from ecological asset markets to ReFi-as-a-movement. On request and with budget, a research report can be produced for a specific project or general industry subject. | https://docsend.com/view/avd6hzqqhfs2hp2p mapping the existing MRV methodologies of ReFi projects and detailing their key ingredients. | | Technical Writing | We produce complex technical documentation, from internal technical specifications for a specific protocol to the drafting of a Litepaper or Whitepaper. | The https://www.kolektivo.network/whitepaper. | | Content Writing | We write pieces such as blog articles, high-level research summaries, or general purpose Manifestos. | https://medium.com/kolektivo-co/regeneration-needs-location-b538cae97ff7. | | Talks & Presentations | We speak and present our work to audiences both private and public depending on client and venue. | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMwQQTReoZo&t=6s, ReFi Unconference. |

Case Study: Kolektivo

The Kolektivo Framework is a suite of Web3 tooling for local communities to launch, govern, and maintain their own regenerative economies. The first Kolektivo community economy was launched this year on the Caribbean island of Curaçao. From the genesis to the deployment of the first Kolektivo tools on main-net, we played a decisive role as lead architects and key advisors.

The first Kolektivo community economy was launched this year on the Caribbean island of Curaçao. From the genesis to the deployment of the first Kolektivo tools on main-net, we played a decisive role as lead architects and key advisors.

In 2020, Pat conceptualized the Decentralized Exchange Trading System (DETS), the key system design behind the Kolektivo project. He was the primary author of the Kolektivo Whitepaper, which described an ecological economic system and decentralized governance tooling that would accomplish the goal of promoting institutional autonomy of local communities and their ecosystems.

Kolektivo trusted us to conceptualize, architect, and be the primary writers of the Kolektivo Bluepaper — a technical document specifying each of the Kolektivo tools that serves as primary source of guidance to build the Framework — as well as the Official Kolektivo Documentation.

Additionally, we have fed the Kolektivo blog with quality research and content supporting Kolektivo's thesis, in addition to producing internal research, documentation, and key recommendations. Relevant examples include:
